Welcome to Grand Canyon University (GCU)! We are a regionally accredited, private Christian university in the heart of Phoenix where students can find their purpose. GCU offers 295 programs, including over 130 degree programs, over 125 emphases and 35 certificate programs.*
In Fall 2020, Grand Canyon University had over 22,000 ground students.** Our vibrant campus features:
- Brand-new academic buildings
- Suite-style residence halls and apartments
- Popular eateries
- State-of-the-art athletic facilities
GCU plans to operate as normal while still adhering to CDC guidelines.
*As of June 30, 2021
**Includes all students who attend ground campus classes (traditional and cohort) who have a last date of attendance of three weeks after the start of the Fall 2020 semester for traditional students, or in the last two months of Q1 for cohort students.
Concerned about graduating on time from a California university? Many California state universities, including Los Angeles, San Jose and San Diego do not have enough room in their programs or classes to accommodate all of their incoming freshmen.* General education classes in particular fill up quickly, which can delay or add to the time it takes for you to graduate. GCU is not impacted by class or program availability, so your courses are open and ready for you when you need them. Rather than having to fund another year of college, at GCU you may be able to graduate sooner, saving you money in the long run.

Committed to affordability, GCU offers generous scholarship opportunities to qualified students, in addition to no out-of-state tuition. With the help of institutional scholarships, the average campus student only paid $8,900 in annual tuition, lowering the cost by just under half.* GCU traditional campus students received over 157 million dollars in scholarships in 2020 – and many students attend GCU for less than the cost of a state university.*
