Arkansas
Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education
Effective October 29, 2018, the Arkansas Department of Education has eliminated the Pre-K through 4th (PK-4) grade certificate and replaced it with the Early Childhood/ Special Education Integrated (B-K) certificate and the Elementary Education (K-6) certificate. This program does not lead to either of these certificates in Arkansas as it does not include the special education content required.
In addition, applicants will have to complete the following workshops:
- Two (2) hours of parental involvement;
- Two (2) hours of child maltreatment training;
- Two (2) hours of teen suicide awareness and prevention; and
- a dyslexia awareness workshop.
Individuals wishing to obtain licensure for either Birth through Kindergarten should consider the Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education or the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Individuals not seeking a professional licensure may take the program for general interest.
Master of Education in Early Childhood Education (Leads to Initial Teacher Licensure)

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education
This program is approved to lead to initial teacher licensure in Arizona. However, the Nebraska Department of Education requires candidates completing this program already possess an Elementary (K-6) inclusive endorsement. to be eligible to receive a supplemental endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Master of Education in Early Childhood Education (Leads to Initial Teacher Licensure)

The Connecticut State Department of Public Health requires a Master's degree in order to qualify for the Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). Since this program is at the undergraduate level, this program will not meet the state's requirements for licensure but can be taken for general interest.
Maryland
Bachelor of Science in Counseling with an Emphasis in Addiction, Chemical Dependency, and Substance Abuse

Please note this program does not meet the semester hour requirements and this program is offered online. Therefore, it will not meet requirements for this state. Master of Science in Christian Counseling of Substance Use and Addictive Disorders
The New Hampshire Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professionals requires a Master's degree of 60 semester credits and only accepts up to 25% of online coursework in order to qualify for the Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC) license. Please note this program does not meet the semester hour requirements and this program is offered online. Therefore, it will not meet requirements for this state. The New Jersey Department of Education requires a state approved program in order to qualify for the Students with Disabilities certificate. This program is not approved by the Arizona State Board of Education as it is not designed to meet licensure requirements. Therefore, it will not lead to certification in New Jersey. Individuals can take the program for general interest.
Iowa
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
The Iowa Board of Educational Examiners requires an Elementary Education program to include specific coursework. Deficiencies for an Elementary Education Regional Exchange license will be identified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners upon an individual transcript review.
Depending upon coursework completed at any accredited college or university, students may also be deficient in the following content areas:
1) Six (6) semester hours of literacy including children's literature and literacy teaching methods
2) Nine (9) semester hours of methods and materials in the following areas:
Elementary Physical Education, Health, and Wellness (3 credits)
Visual Arts for the Elementary Classroom (3 credits)
Teaching Performance Arts for the Elementary Classroom (3 credits)
3) Pre-Student Teaching Field Experiences in at least two (2) different grade levels to include one-grade K-3 placement and one-grade 4-6 placement.
4) Nine (9) semester hours of science including physical science, earth/space science, and life science
5) Nine (9) semester hours of social science including history, geography, political science/civic literacy, economics, and behavioral sciences

The Nevada Department of Education requires a masters level degree in order to qualify for Early Childhood Special Education licensure. As this is an undergraduate program, it will not lead to licensure in Nevada. Individuals can take the program for general interest.
Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
The Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors requires one course in grief and loss and one course in family systems to qualify for licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern. Please be aware that these courses are not currently required to successfully complete this degree program. Students seeking licensure should plan to acquire these extra courses.
