The White Coat Ceremony is a symbol of acceptance of the future responsibility in leadership of the profession. The White Coat Ceremony is an honor, recognition and motivation to one’s responsibility to patient care.
-Jerly May Tiu
The White Coat Ceremony represents the inner “grit” that has fueled my nursing career to the aspirations of becoming a nurse practitioner. The aspirations include compassion, accountability, expansion of knowledge and awareness for Christ-centered patient care.
-Amanda Sepulveda
The White Coat Ceremony reinforces God has a purpose for our lives and reminds us to develop the passion for His goal in our life through perseverance — “Being confident of this one thing He has began a good work in me and be faithful to complete it,” (Philippians 1:6). Grace is undeserved and unmerited but favored.
-Lucy Ann Wong Bacalso
My passion was rekindled for the purpose which I started the program — to serve others.
-Gina Mercado
The White Coat Ceremony was inspiring. I enjoyed seeing the words my peers chose among mine. This provided a sense of unity in our last year of the program. I chose the word integrity because having high moral standards is something that has been an attribute of my personal practice. Being honest and forthright will ensure I and my peers will stay true to the pledge we took together to be committed to our patients in our upcoming practicums.
-Cary Lawrence
