Student Leadership

Student leadership positions at Grand Canyon University (GCU) give you an opportunity to serve your peers and make an impact on the university community. Student leaders serve others through their relationship with Christ by providing programs, events and service opportunities to the students of GCU. Serve on one of 11 teams with more than 900 scholarships available.

Welcome Programs

Welcome Pros work with first-year and transfer students to create a positive first-year experience, seamless transition to campus living and sense of connectedness at Grand Canyon University. Additionally, Welcome Pros serve parents and families throughout the year to develop connections to GCU. Welcome Pros play a significant role during Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Spring Welcome and a variety of other events to build awareness of existing engagement opportunities and help connect every family and new student to campus.


Spiritual Life Student Leadership Positions

The Department of Spiritual Life believes that God has strategically placed students in a position to impact their peers to follow Jesus. Scholarship positions include Small Group Leaders, Local and Global Outreach positions and the Worship Team.

Student Engagement Leadership Positions

Every leadership position through Student Engagement, including ASGCU (student government), Canyon Activities Board (CAB), the Multicultural Office, Veterans Center, and GCU Engage team, plays an active role in building and leading the community at GCU.

Residence Life Student Leadership Positions

Residence Life gives you the unique opportunity to build relationships, grow your communication skills and establish lifelong friendships. Resident assistants (RA's) create and maintain safe living areas while teaching other students how to facilitate community. There are approximately 350 available positions. 

Campus Recreation Leadership Positions

Get involved and have fun in leadership positions including intramural sports and GCU outdoor recreation. This is a perfect opportunity to stay active, build community and improve your leadership skills!
