GCU Career Connections: Employer FAQs

For your convenience, the following are answers to our most frequently received questions.

Career Connections provides a variety of ways to engage with GCU. The guide below will walk you through how to register and get started.

Once you’ve registered it can take up to three to five business days to approve your account. If the account is a church or ministry, please allow more time.

Under normal circumstances it typically takes three to five business days to process pending employer approval requests. If your requests have not been approved after a week it could be because your registration is incomplete, e.g., there is no website address or the email domain does not match your company. There can also be a delay in approval or your registration may be declined. If you have an urgent need to post a job or internship listing for GCU students, please contact us.

Please review this guide on how to create a job posting within Career Connections.

Your job will not actually post until your Employer Registration has been approved.

Make sure you have a descriptive job title, i.e., Customer Service Representatives instead of just Representatives. The job duties and qualifications should be clear and specific. To help promote the position, you can register for a Companies on Campus event or attend an industry specific job fair.

On-campus fair: Please review this guide on how to register for a job fair.

Virtual fair: Please reach out to [email protected] for virtual career fair assistance.

Please review this guide on how and where to document your new hire.

Without exception, GCU students we have hired come prepared to work, prepared to learn and prepared to contribute. We’ve never had a recruit from GCU who wasn’t a strong hire. They share our value system.

Every GCU intern we have hired for the summer, or during school, has hit the ground running. They are adding value after a very short time on the job.

- Peter Hushek,

There’s an approach I think GCU fosters of expecting more. We get students who are eager to learn, eager to serve and ready to impact the community.
