The Strategic Employer Initiatives and Internships’ (SEI) mission is to provide high quality, local and international employers access to GCU students seeking unique opportunities for professional experiences. SEI’s goal is to connect employers to our talent pipeline seeking full-time and part-time career positions, internships, strategic volunteering and graduate school opportunities across multiple industries and sectors.
SEI invites industries to join our GCU employer network Career Connections, which includes a digital job board, access to events and a variety of other resources and engagement opportunities. SEI is here to support employers by offering industry surveys, employer webinars, video tutorials, a resource library, advanced event registrations, ‘live’ support and more.
The entry-point for all employer engagement is our Career Connections digital employer network. Through this system, employers are invited onto campus for internship/career fairs, information sessions and more.
There are many ways to connect with GCU talent via Career Connections such as attending a career and recruiting event or by posting a job.
- Is this position for a project, a semester or one year?
- Are you seeking students in a specific degree program?
- Is this a paid position?
- Can this position lead to full-time employment?
- Will the position allow telecommuting?
- If students can earn credit for this position, is your supervisor prepared to verify work and do an evaluation?
The SEI Employer Engagement team wants to partner with your organization to develop a successful recruitment strategy for GCU students. Register in Career Connections today to discover the many opportunities to connect with our students.

“Without exception, GCU students we have hired come prepared to work, prepared to learn and prepared to contribute. We’ve never had a recruit from GCU who wasn’t a strong hire. They share our value system.”
- Beau Lane, LaneTerralever
“Every GCU intern we have hired for the summer, or during school, has hit the ground running. They are adding value after a very short time on the job.”
- Peter Hushek, Phoenix Heat Treating
“There’s an approach I think GCU fosters of expecting more. We get students who are eager to learn, eager to serve and ready to impact the community.”
- Steven Sheets, Southwest Behavioral and Health Services
